Mascots Meet Up for Summer Meals!
Join us at Bear’s Smokehouse BBQ- New Haven on Saturday, June 8th, 2024 for a day of mascots & FUNdraising! Bear’s is calling together our partners from across the State of Connecticut to join us in the fight against childhood hunger! Get your tickets HERE!
Together with End Hunger Connecticut! our collective partnership will raise funds that will support outreach, education, advocacy, and technical assistance for community-based organizations. These community-based organizations mobilize during the summer months to improve access to healthy and nutritious foods while also increasing food security for families across Connecticut. What will the day entail?
Hosted at our New Haven, CT location, the Mascots Meet-up will feature a day of activities, vendors, live music, and fundraising. Our brewing partners at New England Brewing Company will also host a 21+ Beer Garden for our adult attendees.
THE KIDS RUN @ 2 PM
An obstacle course with various activity checkpoints will be available for kids, ages 5+, to participate in. Along the way, they will answer questions about healthy eating, complete various kid-centered physical activities, and mascot trivia. Participation in the fun run will be at a minimal cost. Proceeds will be contributed to the event fundraiser to help reach our fundraising goal!
THE MAIN EVENT @ 3 PM
Each partner organization will enter their mascot into the main event! A fun obstacle course with various activities will be constructed onsite. Event attendees will have the opportunity to purchase a donation token to place in the “FUNd” of the mascot they hope will win the race. Proceeds will be contributed to the event fundraiser to help reach our Fundraising goal!
